Uno Yanagi 🇺🇸 USA
Sixteen-year-old pianist, Uno Yanagi, began her piano studies at the age of four under the direction of Alla Arutyunyan. Since then, she has won numerous awards at local, state, and international competitions. Among them include First Prizes at the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition 2021, which led to her debut in Carnegie Hall. She won the Grand Prize award, as well as the Exceptional Young Talent Award at the Rome Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition. 2022 was a magical year for Uno, performing solo in Carnegie Hall for winners’ recitals for winning several major international competitions such as the First Prize Elite International Music Competition and the First Prize Crescendo International Music Competition. After winning the competition, Uno was invited to the International Student Exchange Program, the Honor Award at Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition in Poland. She also received an Honorable mention at International Music Competition OPUS 2022 in Poland. Furthermore, Uno has won Second Prize in the American Protégé International Talent Competition and Honorable Mention Winner for the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition. She has two winner’s awards and solo performances scheduled at Carnegie Hall in 2023. Uno has also won top prizes at the London International Music Competition, Southern California Junior Bach Festival, and Romantic Festival. Outside of music, she loves to read, paint, and do the math.
