16-year-old Kate Shin has been studying classical piano since the age of five. Inspired by the performances of other talented musicians, she has developed a deep passion for the piano. Kate studies with Ms. Han Bee Shin and has received numerous awards, including solo competition prizes from MTAC and the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, as well as honors from the Certificate of Merit program. She has also participated in masterclasses with Rufus Choi, Professor Junko Garrett, and Professor Jarred Dunn.
Since 2019, Kate has been enrolled in the Pianist Program at the Orange County School of the Arts in California, studying under Dr. Sarkis Baltaian.
