Jack Nossaman (12) is a pianist from Northern Virginia who has been playing for six years and studies with Anna Ouspenskaya at the Hunter Mill Music Studio. He is a sixth grader at Nysmith School in Herndon, Virginia. Jack was awarded first place in the Northern Virginia Teachers Association Competition in 2024 and 2025. He enjoys a wide variety of music and is especially drawn to connecting with the emotion and character of a piece.
Outside of piano, Jack spends a lot of time on the baseball field with his Vienna-based teams, where he has earned All-Star recognition. He is competitive and enjoys the challenge, but has learned that like piano, the biggest gains come from showing up each day, putting in the work, and trusting that small improvements will add up over time.
Away from the piano and the field, Jack enjoys basketball, reading, travel, and time with friends.
