Ante Božić-Kudrić is a Croatian composer and pianist. He received his elementary and secondary music education at the Music School “Josip Hatze” in Split under Prof. Valentina Štrbac-Čičerić, and earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb in the class of Ante Milić in 2012. He has won awards at several competitions for young pianists in Croatia and has performed at numerous recitals and masterclasses with distinguished pedagogues including Valdma, Kämmerling, Simone, Bogino, Krpan, and Inđić.
Alongside composing, Ante has performed extensively as a soloist and piano accompanist, collaborating with ballet studios, singers, and the National Theatre in Split for operas and musicals, as well as performing with orchestras. He currently works as a piano professor and accompanist at Music School “Josip Hatze” and in private teaching.
Ante began actively composing in 2014. He wrote music for the animated short film From the Depths, which won Best Animated Short Film from the children’s jury at the Olympia International Film Festival in 2014. His first major work, Suite for Two Violins and Piano, premiered in the Small Lisinski Hall in Zagreb in 2015. In 2018, commissioned by the Dutch Grieg Piano Duo, he composed Rhapsody for Piano Duet, premiered at the Piano Loop Festival in Split in 2019. His smaller works include the song Oblak (for tenor or soprano, text by Dobriša Cesarić), two colorful vocalises for soprano, and Serenade and Minuet for double bass. In 2019, he composed Album for the Young, a collection of 72 progressive pieces designed for young pianists as well as intermediate and advanced players.
Since 2021, Ante has served as broadcast director and producer for Virtual Concert Halls, an online platform supporting classical and jazz musicians to perform online and participate in competitions with live jury feedback.
