Abigail Nossaman (14), from Northern Virginia, has studied piano with Anna Ouspenskaya at the Hunter Mill Music Studio for 9 years. She is a ninth grader at The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia. Abby has been a finalist in the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association Concerto Competition for four consecutive years and was a prizewinner in the International Great Composers Competition, placing in the Best Bach Performance category. In 2025, she performed as a solo pianist in the Sound Espressivo Gala Concert at Carnegie Hall.
Abby enjoys exploring a wide range of music and is drawn to pieces that are expressive and full of character. She brings a thoughtful and intuitive approach to her playing and is especially interested in how music can create mood and tell a story.
Outside of piano, Abby plays tennis and softball, studies Latin and Karate, and co-leads a robotics team.
